Rasmussen Poll Shows Senate Toss-Up
On January 28, Rasmussen released poll numbers showing a neck and neck race with Democratic frontrunner Amy Klobuchar and Republican frontrunner Mark Kennedy. They show (with unfortunately no margin of error listed), Klobuchar eking out a slight lead with 43% to Kennedy’s 42% (leaving 15% undecided or other). The also note that in a Kennedy-Bell race, the numbers would be more lop-sided: 41% to 36% in favor of Kennedy. These numbers will ensure that Bell will not get the Democratic nod.
There are also more serious rumblings about Cierisi joining the fray. If he does, Klobuchar will have to fight again, but she will have a distinct advantage. However Cierisi is popular, so don’t discount him.
