Klobuchar Slips, Kennedy Pulls Undecideds
In the latest SurveyUSA poll (7/24/06), it shows Klobuchar’s lead falling to 47% and Kennedy pulling up to 42%. And I will give this survey credit for including Fitzgerald in their poll, who clocked in at 8%. Given how third-party candidates have fared in Senate elections in the past, this is not a number to take lightly. We should keep an eye on it to see how it trends. But it’s certainly a good sign for the IP in this election.
However, I say “falling” and “pulling up” compared to the previous STrib poll which seemed out of whack and this one is actually more in tune with the Rasmussen polls. However with +/- 4% MOE on the SurveyUSA poll, it remains that only the STrib’s MOE is statistically valid. It’s hard to say ultimately for certain except that regardless it seems Klobuchar enjoys a good lead…just how much is hard to say.
Crystal Ball:
Klobuchar — 46%
Kennedy — 43%
Fitzgerald — 10%
